Good-bye, Mr. Petey Pie

Yesterday was a hard day. We had to put Prickly Pete down. He had fractured his pelvis and his diabetes had come back in one fell swoop. It was a very hard decision. But when we saw him -- we knew it was the right one.

It was a sad day. My husband and I loved Petey like crazy. We miss him more than I could ever express.

Thanks for picking us at the shelter, Mr. Petersworth. We are so glad to have known you.

I'm so sorry. i can tell he had a full and wonderful life with you.

As mama to 5 rescue cats and 4 spoiled rotten dogs, I understand.

I also have rescue dogs {6} and they are family. I love them too dearly, as I know you did your beautiful Petey. I am so sad for you, but I know your memories will brighten your heart.

I'm so sorry! You were all lucky to have found each other.

Sometimes it is the last thing we do in life for someone we love that speaks the loudest about how we felt about them.

Your love for Petey was evident as you both made the hardest decision a Pet Parent ever has to make. You made the right decision. Petey has no more pain and is now in a place where the scratching posts grow like grass and where tuna swim up to the clouds and invite themselves up as snacks to cats who have left one beloved home and have found a new one.

We love you both. Hug & kiss Snoopey for us :)

Jen & Joel

Oh sweet pea, I'm so sorry to hear it!
I know how much you two loved him. And I'm sure you made the right decision...a difficult one but selfless and full of love...in the end, you did the best thing for Petey, as you did when he was romping about.
I loved Joel & Jen's "where the scratching posts grow like grass." This is just perfect, and I'll, too, think of Petey in this place!

Much love and hugs,
Anna

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know how special kitties are – especially Siamese. We had two in our family (Siamese cats that is) one that was the mama cat and later we had one that was the baby of the family. We had to put them down as well. It was such a hard decision. I still miss them very much. As I am sure you miss Petey. I hope you are okay.

Rest assured that you did the right thing. You don't want to see any creature in pain
